Trumpet 2.0B Connection Guide for Salsgiver Inc.

After Installing Trumpet Winsock open the application and select
'File' then 'Setup'.  

    - Uncheck both the Internal SLIP and Internal PPP boxes
    - You will now be able to enter the Gateway and Name Server
      Information
    - In 'Default Gateway' type 206.67.234.10
    - In 'Name server' type 206.67.234.10
    - If you are using a Netscape Browser, we recommend setting the
      'MTU' to 1006 (set the additional fields according to the picture
      below



    - Select the 'Internal PPP' box
    - The 'Slip Port' is the com port that your modem is connected to
    - The baud rate should be set to the highest speed that your modem
      allows ( a 14400 modem should be able to connect at 57600 )
    - Select 'Hardware Handshake'
    - Online Status Detection should be 'None'



    - Next is the dialer window
    - Select 'Automatic login and logout on demand
    - Select 'Automatic redial when disconnected
    - Select 'Use standard SLIP settings for parity & word size



    - Finally, the Login script needs edited
    - Select 'Dialer' & 'Edit Scripts'
    - Edit the 'Login.cmd' file
    - About the 21st line of the script you will see two fields
      ( $userprompt and $passprompt )
    - Change these two lines to the following:

          $userprompt = "ogin:"
          $passprompt = "assword:"

    - Save your changes & restart Trumpet Winsock
