Macintosh Connection Guide for Salsgiver Inc.

       - Look in the System Folder and delete MacTCPDNR if it exists
         (this file rebuilds itself on reboot)

MacTCP configurations: (under control panel)
       
       - Under 'Obtain Address', select 'manually'
       - Type 206.67.234.10 in Gateway Address box
       - Go back to 'Obtain Address' and set it for 'server'
       - Select 'Class C' in IP Address section.  The rest of the
         information will automatically be filled in.
       - Type the following in the Domain Name Server Information
         section:

               salsgiver.com in Domain box
               206.67.234.10 in IP Address box

       - Sometimes you need to restart the Mac
 
ConfigPPP configurations:

       - Select either 'Modem Port' or 'Printer Port' depending on
         where your modem is connected.
       - Select 'None' for Idle Timeout
       - Select 'Off' for Echo Interval (some systems may require
         a '4' input)
       - 'Terminal Window' Not Selected
       - 'Hangup on Close' Not Selected 
       - 'Quiet Mode' selected
       - Select 'Config'

               In the PPP Server Name box, type 'www.salsgiver.com' and 
               hit OK.  (Please omit quotation marks.)

       - Set port speed to 3 times modem speed (example: a 9600 baud
         modem should be set to 28800, this may need to be adjusted)
       - Flow Control should be 'CTS & RTS' (DTR), if this doesn't
         work try CTS only
       - Your modem init should be blank
       - Set to tone dial and input your appropriate dial-up number
               ( 412 820-xxxx or 724 295-xxxx)
       - Set your modem connect time-out to 90 seconds
       - Select 'connect' script next

       Your connect script should look like this:
       (where username and password are your login and password)

               wait www.salsgiver.com login:
               out your-username    (check the carriage return box)
               wait Password:
               out your-password    (check the carriage return box)
               wait PPP
               out
               out
               out

Reboot your Mac. You should select ConfigPPP and 'open', now you may 
start any Internet Software ( Netscape, Eudora, FTP, etc.)

To close your connection, select 'Hard Close' in MacPPP.
Do not try to open the PPP connection through your communication 
software because it doesn't always work!
